I AM BECOMING!

There's a warrior in you

Rename the place in your heart where you keep your agony and pain. It’s your hiding place, your safe place. This place represents the memories and thoughts that bring you pain and regret. You know the things that want to draw you back into hiding. Places and thoughts that only cause harm if you open up the door. It could be a representation of a place in your heart or an actual location. You need to determine to build a “No Trespassing” sign and put “caution” tape all around it. It might be easy for me or anyone else to say “never go there again” but that’s not alway easy to do. There’s victory in changing the name of that place. Decide to stop giving those places and thoughts power over your emotions. Find every good thing that came as a result of that place of agony. Your first response might be nothing good came from that place, but consider, maybe something did. Consider what Rom. 8:28 says (Amplified) “And we know (with great confidence) that God (who is deeply concerned about us) causes all things to work together (as a plan) for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” Somehow God works things out, not always according to what we had in mind but for our good. That could be why you are reading this right now. Think, really think about the things you’ve learned about yourself because of the pain, agony, regret and disappointments you’ve experienced in your life. The decisions good or bad that you’ve made. You’re a different person now with so much to offer. You’ve got a story to tell because you are on the other side of the agony. Change the name of the place where you wore a label called “victimhood” to a name that represents you as “victorious”. Only you can decide what you will name that place but it will no longer be a place of agony. I am replacing agony with growth, determination, perseverance, fortitude, safety, hope, peace and many other things that I am still in the process of becoming. The word for me and some of you is BECOMING. We are becoming new and more than we’ve ever been. You don’t have to change yourself by your own efforts. There’s someone who want to help you and me. He’s just waiting for each of us to reach out to Him. I invite you to ask for help from someone who loves you more than you could ever imagine. You’re important to Him and you matter to Him. His name is Jesus and he’s waiting for you to open the door.

From my heart to yours,
